Bette Davis's Oscar Statuette to be Revealed in Chicago
The "Meet Oscars, Chicago" is part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' presented by Kodak and will be held at The Shops at North Bridge on Michigan Avenue.
Davis's Oscar was purchased at auction in 2001 by an anonymous buyer who was later discovered to be Steven Spielberg. He later returned it to the Academy.
The exhibit will also feature the Oscar statuette to be presented to the Best Actor winner at the 82nd Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7 and will feature the various stages of completion in making an Oscar statuette.
The free exhibit will open to the public on Thursday, February 25, and run through Sunday, March 7. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
